Sevag Chalabian (Chairman)
Sevag Chalabian is a commercial lawyer and adviser. Until March 2004, he was a Partner with Phillips Fox Lawyers. In 2004, he established in partnership a boutique commercial law practice, Lands Legal. His practice concentrates on mining joint ventures, corporate transactions and property and financing projects.
Tony Ho (Non-Executive Director)
Mr Ho has had more than 30 years' experience as a senior executive and director mainly as a director of listed companies. Mr Ho's background is in finance and positions that he has held during his career include Chief Financial Officer of Volante Group Ltd, one of the largest Australian-owned ASX-listed computer services companies; Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer of Arthur Yates & Co Limited; Executive Finance Director of Downtown Duty Free Pty Limited; and Chief Financial Officer of ASX-listed M.S. McLeod Holdings Limited.
Currently Mr Ho is a non-executive director and chairman of the Audit and Compliance Committee of Dolomatrix International Limited, a non-executive director and chairman of the Audit Committee of Greenland Minerals & Energy Limited and the Chairman of Esperance Minerals NL. Mr Ho is also the Deputy Chairman of Quality Improvements Council Limited which is the company that provides accreditation audit services to the Community Health and Community Services sectors in Australia and New Zealand.
Wang Jianguang (Non-Executive Director)
Mr Wang has eight years of experience in the mining and iron-making industry in China. Benefitting from extensive working and studying experiences in China and abroad, Mr Wang has gained unique perspective into the economics and politics of both China and Australia, which has become increasingly critical for advising on and facilitating business negotiation and cooperation with international counterparties. In 2007, Mr Wang, along with other shareholders, established Hugo Natural Enterprises Ltd.
As a director, he has been in charge of business development in mining industry overseas. Mr Wang holds a bachelor's degree in Economics Law.
Gavin Daneel
(Executive General Manager)
Gavin has an MSc in geology and is a Member of the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy. He is an economic geologist with over 25 years’ experience in exploration and operations management in the mining industry both in private practice and for public companies. His exploration experience covers Australia, South East Asia, India and Africa.
Gavin has served in a number of executive roles in publically listed exploration and mining companies, the most recent being as General Manager Operations for WCP Resources Ltd. Other companies included Selwyn Mines Limited (Executive Director); Hargraves Resources Limited (Director) and Straits Resources Limited (General Manager Exploration).
Gavin specialises in economic geology, focussing on exploration for, and development of resources, and has management experience in exploration, project development and operations. He has actively participated in IPO’s, capital raisings, corporate governance and company promotion. He has been involved in projects covering a wide range of commodities including precious and base metals, iron ore, coal, uranium, precious and semi-precious gems, as well as oil and gas, and has participated in the negotiation, establishment and management of numerous joint ventures both within Australia and overseas.
Gavin brings technical and operational experience in conducting exploration programs in both the Pilbara region of Western Australia and South Australia’s Gawler Craton which is particularly relevant to Apollo’s Mt Oscar and Commonwealth Hill projects respectively.
Guy Robertson (Secretary)
Mr Robertson has over 25 years' experience in both public and private companies in Australia and Hong Kong. For 16 years he was a Finance Director/CFO of various companies within the Jardine Matheson Group.
John Bridson (Consulting Geologist)
John Bridson is a geologist with a Masters of Science from the University of Waikato in New Zealand. He is a member of the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and the Financial Services Institute of Australia.
John has more than 25 years' experience in exploration, predominantly in iron ore, gold and base metals. He has a particularly strong background in iron ore, having worked with iron ore developers and producers Mt Gibson Iron Limited, Portman Limited and, most recently, Sinosteel Midwest.
He also has international exposure in Indonesia with Herald Resources as their Exploration Manager in the 1990s and was responsible for management of gold and base metal exploration programmes which included the successful discovery of a high-grade sedex lead zinc deposit in North Sumatra.
Roderick Smith ( Mining Consultant)
Roderick Smith is a graduate from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Commerce in 1977. He is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Securities Institute of Australia. He holds a Diploma in Mining Investment Analysis and has studied geology.
He has been involved at board level with several listed public companies and has been instrumental in the development of four mines in Western Australia including the exploration and development of the Windimurra Vanadium Mine for which he raised capital of $300 million.
Roderick was previously the Managing Director of Precious Metals Australia.
Tony Grey ( Special Adviser)
Tony Grey was formerly the Managing Director of Pancontinental Mining Ltd, the Australian company that discovered the Jabiluka uranium deposit in Northern Territory in 1971.
Tony Grey has been the Chairman of International Ferro Metals Limited, a ferrochrome and mining company since 2002 and Chairman of Precious Metals Australia, a mining company listed on the Australian Securities Exchange. He has written extensively and is widely recognized as an authority on the Australian uranium industry. Currently a director of TSX-listed Mega Uranium.
